My Bookish Life Graphic Novel Spotlight: Dark Tower : The Gunslinger The Journey Begins

Hello everybody! How are you all? I hope you all are having a good night . I'm on page 337 out of 834 pages of my Dark Tower VII reread but I finished this graphic novel and want to review it . I think I will be finished with the Dark Tower VII soon though.  So lets do this. Title: The Dark Tower The Gunslinger : The Journey Begins  Author: Stephen King , Robin Firth, Peter David Genre: Graphic Novel Pages: 160 roughly Rating : 5 stars Synopsis: Twelve years have passed since the fateful Battle of Jericho Hill and the fall of the gunslingers. Since the Affiliation's resistance against John Farson became little more than a faint memory. Since the friends that stood by young Roland Deschain burned to ash in the Good Man's razing of Gilead. But Roland survived...and now he stalks the desert, hunting the spectral Man in Black in his quest for the Dark Tower. My thoughts on the book: I loved this adaptation of this part of the story. I pretty much read this in one sett

My Bookish Life Book Review: Disney's Pooh's Heffalump Movie

Hello everybody! How are you all doing tonight? I'm still in the middle of reading The Dark Tower VII by Stephen King but, I did finish the book I picked for my children's book roll on bookopoly. So I am here with another book review !  Title: Pooh's Heffalump Movie Author: Disney Genre: Children's Pages: 46 Rating: 2.5 stars Synopsis: Little Roo tries to find the much feared Heffalump and ends up learning a lesson about friendship. My thoughts on the book: Ok so my kiddo and I read this together and that was fun. He seemed to really enjoy it. However, as a story I didn't enjoy it to much.     I found the story to be lacking and hollow. I'll admit when I like a children's book but, this story just felt shallow. There are a lot of Pooh Bear books I think are cute but not this one.      If you want a heartfelt story to read to your kiddo I would look elsewhere. That's not this book. It has nice illustrations but that's not enough to save it

My Bookish Life: November TBR/Bookopoly Round 1

Hello everybody! How are you all doing? I hope you are all having a good day. Mine has been really good so far. I went to the gym this morning and I feel really good like I've been killing it today. The kiddo is asleep so I thought I would post my November TBR and show you guys the surprise I have been telling you all I was going to debut on my blog this month!          Ok so I'm no longer really doing a TBR jar I got tired of it and decided I wanted to change things up. Instead of that , I'm now going to be playing a game called Bookopoly every month. My TBR jar isn't completely going away it does have a space on the board so you will see it again eventually. How this game works is each board space is a different reading prompt/category and I have to pick a book that fits the prompt/category of the space I land on . Also, if I role doubles or land on add a book I role twice instead of once . I will explain the spaces in more detail as I land on them
