My Bookish Life: Spooky season TBR!

Hello and how are you guys! I hope you have all been really good! I have been really good but, also really busy! I know I haven't been posting on here much and I wish I could post on here more often. Maybe it will happen when my crazy life slows down!      I am getting in the spooky season mood and because of that I put together a super spooky TBR for the next two months! I have gotten most of these off my own home library shelf so it also counts as me reading from my backlist! I think I have a pretty good mix of books on here and I can't wait to talk about it with all of you! 1. The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Battle For Pumpkin King    I saw this comic at the store recently and just had to get it! It's one of only two new buys in this TBR. I confess I have already read this one, I just haven't had time to get the review up! I will hopefully have the review up in a day or two. 2. Demon Copperhead    This is my library book clu...

My Bookish Life: My June TBR

Hello! I hope you all are having a good day! My day has been pretty good so far! We have had a really fun weekend. My husband and I had a date day yesterday and we went to a new ramen shop. That was an interesting experience because I had never been to a ramen shop before. The food and drinks were good and I had fun! We also did some shopping which was fun!  We are just chilling at the house today. My husband is cooking some ribs on the smoker which will be really good for dinner. While I have some free time I decided I wanted to post my TBR for this month. It's pretty long but, I'm going to try to get it done! The first book I am reading this month is The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann David Wyss. I'm reading it as part of The Ultimate Reading Challenge. My husband picked it to help me fill a prompt. It's pretty good so far! Next I'm going to be reading The Maid by Nita Prose. It's the book pick for our up-and-coming book club meeting so I really need to...

My Bookish Life Book Review and Reading Challenge

So how are you guys this morning? I hope you are having a nice Valentines Day so far. Today is actually mine & my husband's anniversary. We have been married since 2009! I have a fun dinner planned for us when he gets off work. I'm going to get a pizza and some cheesy bread, and I already got a Pokémon (my husband loves to play the games) cookie cake that's Valentines themed. I should have probably done home cooking but, I just wanted it to be super relaxed and fun this year no stress. So, I'm looking forward to that later!     This is going to be a longer post because I have multiple things to talk about. I hope you guys enjoy this post! I have my coffee and I'm ready to go so lets do this!   First up I have completed my reading challenge prompt for the month so let's talk about that. When I did it this month this is the prompt I got. Make or order a snack or meal described in a book you have read.  To complete that prompt I made the ...

My Bookish Life Book Review : Apt Pupil

Hello and how are you guys? I hope you have all been doing good. I've been ok recently. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow that I'm really nervous about. I'm probably going to have to do an MRI because I'm worried, I've broke my neck. I'm scared of what the doctors are going to say honestly.       For now, though, I'm chilling out and having some coffee and I want to work on my blog some. I've been meaning to make this post for a while now because I actually finished reading Apt Pupil a few weeks ago but life has been so crazy I'm just now getting time to write this review. So, let's get started! I hope you enjoy the review.      First off, I was reading Apt Pupil to complete part of my reading challenge I got myself for my birthday so let's see what my reward was for completing this part of the challenge. The prompt was:  Read A Novella My reward was:  It's a cute little bookmark! It's adorable! I like it! Now let's...

My Bookish Life : January TBR

Hello and how are you guys? I hope you are all doing great. I've had a pretty good day. My work day wasn't to bad and I get to be off tomorrow. Kiddo just fell asleep, so I want to publish my monthly TBR. This is kind of like a special edition of my TBR too because, January is my birth moth so I'm putting things I really really want to read on my TBR.      The drink included in all of these pics is like an adult Starbucks drink that I made myself and it's really good. It's a little bit of Starbucks Gingerbread coffee, and some of Ole Smokey's Some Beach Moonshine topped with whipped cream. I got the mug as a present through Secret Santa at my work place. So now lets talk about the books! The first book I've already started reading this month is The Decade That Rocked by Mark Weiss. This book is by rock n roll photographer Mark Weiss. It's a photography book where he showcases some of his best pictures and tells the stories behind them. I've alr...

My Bookish Life: My Yearly Top 10 !

Hello everybody! How are you guys doing? I hope you are having a good time. I'm having a few drinks and I'm trying to chill. Life has been a little stressful, so I want to have a good time tonight. I have had an ale, a shot of Salted Caramel Ole Smokey, and some Budweiser. Now I want to talk books while I finish my Budweiser.   Before we get into the books though I want to take a few minutes to show off some awesome car coasters my friend Courtney made me for Christmas. I think she did an absolutely awesome job of making these! They are just so cute! If you like these and want to check out her stuff go to:  The Craft Closet | Chatsworth GA | Facebook  . Now let's talk about the books! Even though this list is numbered the books aren't really in a certain order because I loved them all. I hope you enjoy reading this article! 10. My Bookish Life Book Review: Fairy Tale

Hello everybody ! How have all of you guys been ? I know it's unfortunately been a long time since I talked to you guys . My life has been crazy and some of that is what has caused some blogging delays . That plus my kiddo broke my laptop and I had to save up and get a new one. I'm hoping next year will be a better year and I'll be able to do a lot of the blog work I want to do.         I hope you guys are having a good holiday season . Mine has been a little crazy but hopefully it will all straighten itself out soon . Now I have some lemonade and I'm ready to talk books so lets get started with this review.   Title: Fairy Tale Author : Stephen King Genre: Fantasy Pages: 608 Rating: 4 stars     Synopses: Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. My Bookish Life : Yearly Top 10 for 2021

Hello and how are you guys? I hope you all are doing good I have had a very good day myself. I've been very busy because I had to work so I'm tired but, I want to get this post done. Doing my top ten books of the year this time has been very different because I didn't give 5 stars to more than 10 books this whole year so I couldn't really do versus battles to figure out my top ten because that would only kind of change the order not which ones are mentioned . So for this one I'm not even going to number them because they are kind of all interchangeable but, these have been my favorite reads of the year. With that being said lets get down to business and talk about the books! Title: The Eyes of The Dragon Author: Stephen King Genre: YA/Fantasy Rating: 5 stars Synopsis: A kingdom is in turmoil as the old king dies, murdered by a strange and horrible poison . While the land of Delain mourns, the evil wizard Flagg, hatches an unscrupulous plot, which sees the King...
