My Bookish Life: These Books Will Self Destruct In 6 Months

Hello everybody! How are all of you? I'm doing good and I hope that you are doing good as well.       So I'm posting here today so I can do the these books will self destruct in 6 months article/challenge I told all of you about. How this works is I have randomly selected six unread books from my book shelves and if I don't read some of them within six months I have to donate the unread ones to the local library.  However,  if I read a book and I like it I get to keep that book.        Honestly, I just used eeny, meeny, mint, mo to pick the books out. When you see the list you will know I'm being honest about which books got picked because some of them I would rather not give away . However,  like I said if I read a book and I like it I get to keep the book. This is not going to be an easy challenge because some of these books are pretty thick. With that being said I think it's time to reveal which books are on the list.    Title: Psych

My Bookish Life: Bookshelf Tour

Hello guys! How is everybody? I hope you all are doing good. I'm having a good but busy day so far.         Today's post is going to maybe be a short one but, I wanted to do the bookshelf tour that a lot of content creators do. So I guess I will show you some pictures of my shelves and just talk a little bit about what's in each photo.  Let's get started!      Ok so this small bookcase is where my collection starts. It mostly contains small Paperbacks. Also, incase you aren't a frequent reader of my blog, the painting is one I done of the character Roland Deschain from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.  Of course since Motley Crue is my favorite band, I just had to have their funk pops when they came out ! They are adorable!                So now we are moving on to bookshelf number 2! I would say this is my biggest shelf. In case  you are curious,  I arrange my books in alphabetical order by the authors first name. The paintings

My Bookish Life : June Book Haul!

Hello how is everybody doing? I hope you all are doing great! I feel much better than I did the last time I posted and I'm having a very good day. So, yesterday I was at the Goodwill because I had to buy my kiddo some clothes and I ended up buying some books too so I thought I would do a book haul post. Without further ado let's discuss the books that were hauled. 1. Holy Blood Holy Grail Author: Michael Baigent  Genre: Conspiracy       Synopsis: A 19th century french priest discovers something in his mountain village at the foot of The Pyrenees which enables him to amass and spend a fortune of millions of pounds. The tale seems to begin with buried treasure and then turns into an unprecedented historical detective story- a modern Grail quest leading back through cryptically coded parchments, secret societies,  the Knights Templar, the Cather heretics of the 12th and 13th centuries and a dynasty of obscure French kings deposed more than 1,300 ye

My Bookish Life Book Review: I Survived : The Sinking of The Titanic

Title: I Survived : The Sinking of The Titanic Author: Lauren Tarshis  Genre: Graphic Novel Pages: 157 Rating : 2.5 stars        Synopsis: Ten year old George Caldwell can't wait to explore every inch of the Titanic, even if his little sister Phoebe has to come with him. But, when George sneaks away without her and ventures into the first class baggage room, a terrible boom shakes the entire boat. Suddenly, water is everywhere and George's life changes forever.            My thoughts on the book: It was ok for what it is. I'm trying to keep in mind that it's a children's book and I'm not it's intended audience so I don't judge it too harshly.  It's a super quick read.          One thing I liked about it is the art work. The artwork on the inside is really pretty and has a decent amount of detail. However, that doesn't make up for the bad things about this book.      The stuff I didn't like about this book was that I felt the story

Title: Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder Author: Joanne Fluke Pages: 303 Genre: fiction  Rating: 3.5 stars     Synopsis: Hannah Swenson already has her hands full, between dodging her mother's attempts to marry her off and running Lake Eden, Minnesota's most popular bakery , The Cookie Jar. But when Cozy Cow Dairy's beloved delivery man is found murdered behind Hannah's bakery with her famous Chocolate Chip Crunchies scattered around him, Hannah sets out to track down a killer. The more Hannah snoops the more suspects turn up. This is one murder that's starting to leave a bad taste in Hannah's mouth and if she doesn't watch her back, her sweet life may get burned to a crisp.     My thoughts on the book: I thought it was a decent read. The story was cute and I liked the humor in it. Plus, some of the recipes sound really good.       I like the lead character, Hannah , she is extremely relatable. Her relationship with her mom is a very funny one ! I als
