Johnny Smith, the small-town school teacher who spun the wheel of fortune and won a four and a half year trip into The Dead Zone. John Smith, who awakened from an interminable coma with an accursed power - the power to see the future and the terrible fate awaiting man kind in The Dead Zone. My thoughts on the book: It's hard to describe it exactly how I feel about this book. I think Stephen King does some of his best writing when it's about people with mental abilities. However. I don't thin...

When Gilead falls , the pillars of reality it's - six beams that hold all of existence together- begins to crumble . The satanic plan of the Crimson King to return all of existence to it's primal state of chaos is nigh! My thoughts on the book: I thought this book was a good read. My Bookish Life: September Reading Wrap Up

Hello, I'm back again with the reading wrap up for September.  I hope you all are liking the content I'm putting out tonight ! Anyways let's get to this reading wrap up shall we?          The first book I finished in September was Episodic Sleep Disorders by E.L. Haines. I liked this book. I think if you are a fan of like Tim Burton for example you could like this author. I found the story strange and I want to read more . If you are interested you can check out a more indepth review on my blog and buy the book on Amazon. Overall, I gave the book 4 stars!         The second book I finished this month was Deception Point by Dan Brown. Overall I thought the story was good, plus it left me wondering about what would happen if our government actually tried to fake finding this kind of Discovery. Plus, since it is an election year in reality the politics of this book also stood out because I can see politi...

My Bookish Life Book Review: Satori in Paris and Pic Two Novels

Title: Satori In Paris and Pic Two Novels  Author: Jack Kerouac  Genre: fiction Pages: 238 Rating : 5 stars Synopsis: Satori In Paris a rollicking autobiographical account of Kerouac's search for his heritage in France and it lands the author in his familiar setting of seedy bars and all night conversations. Pic is Kerouac's final novel and one of his most unusual . Narrated by 10 year old Pictorial Review Jackson the novel charts the adventures of Pic and his older brother Slim as they travel from the rural south to California in the 1940s.                My thoughts on the book: At first I thought I was going to have to three star this one. Satori in Paris is a good but average read . Like the synopsis says it's  autobiographical.  Besides going to France to find his heritage that story also made me feel like Kerouac was soul searching and trying to find himself. That isn't a bad thing though. Still I thought that...
