My Bookish Life Book Review: The Dead Zone

Hello how are you all? I hope you all are having a good morning. I confess mine has been a bit rough but hopefully it gets better. So with that being said I guess we should go on with the book review.

Title: The Dead Zone
Author : Stephen King
Genre: I would say more sci-fi but I guess also horror
Pages :402
Rating : 3.5 stars

Synopsis: Johnny, the small boy who skated at breakneck speed into an accident that for one horrifying moment plunged him into The Dead Zone.

Johnny Smith, the small-town school teacher who spun the wheel of fortune and won a four and a half year trip into The Dead Zone.

John Smith, who awakened from an interminable coma with an accursed power - the power to see the future and the terrible fate awaiting man kind in The Dead Zone.

My thoughts on the book: It's hard to describe it exactly how I feel about this book. I think Stephen King does some of his best writing when it's about people with mental abilities. However. I don't think this was one of his best books. It wasn't bad but he has wrote better.

I did find this book to be pretty interesting.  I like the whole concept of being able to see parts of people's pasts and futures by just touching them . If that ability was real it would be an interesting one to have for sure.

I do think the stuff that happened between John Smith and Greg Stillson could have went on a bit longer story wise. I think it concluded to fast which is a surprising thing to say about a Stephen King story. Also , I have to say that a lot of other people have said that this book is very relevant to our current political situation. While I don't completely agree with that statement I can see why people are saying that.

I liked this book but, I didn't think it was one of King's best books . However, it was still an interesting read and that's why I'm giving it 3.5 stars. I also want to say that I loved the ending but, if you decide to read it watch out for the ending.

That is the end of this book review. If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you would be so kind I need bad book recommendations. I'm talking worst book you have ever read type of recommendations. The suggestions are for something I'm going to debute on my blog in November. It's a surprise but, things are going to be changing on this blog.

If you like my content please give this blog a follow !  That's it for now I will talk to you all again soon. Goodbye!
