My Bookish Life: My August TBR

Hello friends! I hope all of you are having a good morning. I just made some coffee and I'm starting to wake up. I know I haven't been consistent with my book blog recently but, my life has just been really busy lately. That being said I have put together my TBR for August and I'm excited about it!

I hope this coffee will get me awake soon! It might take two cups this morning! This one isn't being very effective. So anyways let's get on with discussing my TBR for August!

First up we have Louder Than Hell : The Definitive Oral History of Metal by Jon Wiederhorn & Katherine Turman. I have wanted to read this one for a while because I really love music. Since I had to get it from the library I have already started reading it. It's really good so far. It kind of reads like one long interview with a lot of different bands. It starts in the 70s and works it's way up to more modern times.

After that we have The First Commandment by Brad Thor. I'm looking forward to reading this one because it's a continuation of the Scott Harvath series. This series has been really good so far so I can't wait to pick this one up!

After that we have We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix. I picked this one up to fulfill one of my reading challenge prompts. The prompt is to read a book just because I like the cover. I have been wanting to read this one for a little bit anyway. It's about a rock band that sold their souls for fame and I guess creepy stuff starts to happen. Grady Hendrix's books usually read like 80s horror movies so I'm really looking forward to this one. I have a feeling it's going to get me into a fall Halloween mood!

After that we have Biblical: Rob Halford's Heavy Metal Scriptures. I got this book when I was on vacation earlier this year. I am a fan of Judas Priest, so I have been looking forward to reading this one!

I do also have a book called West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge. I need to read for the library book club. I don't have a picture of it though because it's on my kindle. I actually need to start reading that one really soon!

I'm really liking this month's TBR because I have been wanting to read more music stuff for a while now. Pretty much every book this month involves music somehow. There is only two that don't involve music.

That's it for this reading update. If you happen to like my content please give my blog a like and a follow. Also, if you have read any of these books please leave your thoughts in the comments. I hope you enjoyed this read and that you have a nice day. Goodbye for now!
