My Bookish Life Book Review: Carried Away

Hello you guys! How are you all? I hope everybody is having a good day! The kiddo woke up at about mid-night last night and never really went back to sleep so I am exhausted . Not to mention it's been a long day house work and going to the gym. Hopefully he sleeps all night tonight!

With that being said though I do want to get this book review done today . Kiddo is watching Blue's Clues so I am going to try to get this up while he is being good. Let's get to the book shall we?

Title: Carried Away: A Kairotic Story
Author: E.L. Haines
Genre: YA Horror with some comedy
Pages: 169
Rating: 4 Stars

Synopsis: In the midst of a deadly global disease, sometimes it's hard to say which is worse: the pandemic or the pandemonium.

Sparrow is visiting Italy, just trying to enjoy a decent pizza, when the locals start dropping dead from a mysterious disorder. Soon he is caught up in rampant rumors, a panicking population, and a competition to find the cure.

My thoughts on the book: I liked it and thought it was pretty easy to get into. It was actually a pretty quick read which was another bonus . Also I thought the author did a really good job with the world building in this book. It was very vivid and made everything easy to see in my mind.

I have to say I love the way the author used cats in this story. I found it hilarious actually and weird but in a good way . I kept that part out of the synopsis because I don't want to spoil how cats are used in this story .

I also found some of the medical parts  of the book to be very interesting.  I could see doctors actually maybe doing stuff like that in a pandemic. Plus, the virus itself is also interesting I think.

All of the above reasons is why I'm giving it 4 stars! I would recommend it for sure! If I have peaked your interest you can purchase the story as an ebook off of Amazon just type in Carried Away by E.L. Haines.

That's it for this review. I have started reading Jaws by Peter Benchley and hopefully I will have a review up soon. I'm also going to be posting a birthday book haul post on the blog tomorrow. Then my January Reading Wrap Up and February TBR will be up shortly after that. If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you like my content please give my blog a follow! That's it for now talk to you all tomorrow!
