Synopsis: An affectionate, nostalgic, and unflinchingly funny celebration of the horror fiction boom of the 1970s and '80s. Take a tour through the horror paper back novels of two iconic decades ... if you dare. Page through dozens of amazing book covers featuring well-dressed skeletons , evil dolls, and knife-wielding killer crabs! Read shocking plot summaries that invoke devil worship, satanic children, and haunted real estate !

My review: I found the book to be really interesting especially the historical facts in the book. I'm a huge fan of horror and I learned a lot about the history of horror I didn't know. That was one of the things I liked about the book a whole lot.

I also liked that the book talked about a lot of lesser known authors. I read about a lot of books that sounded very interesting that I had no idea existed. In fact, I think I want to put the Paperbacks From Hell reading challenge in my jar of reading challenges.

I want to check out more of Grady Hendrix's books. He is hilarious and I think his stuff could be interesting to read. His sense of humor made the book really fun to read!

Since I learned stuff about the horror genre I didn't know and the book was interesting and fun to read I'm giving the book 4 stars! I for sure plan on checking out the books talked about in this book and more books by Grady Hendrix. This book was an excellent read for sure and I enjoyed every minute of it!

If you have read the book please leave your thoughts in the comment section below. Also, if you like my content please subscribe to my blog. I should be back next week with another review because I'm almost half way through the Joan Jett biography I'm reading.

That's it for this update. I hope you all have a nice rest of your day. I will talk to all of you again soon!
