My Bookish Life : January Reading Wrap Up

Hello ! How are you guys ? I hope everything is going good for all of you. My day has been pretty busy. I have most of my house stuff done so I want to take a minute to post my January Reading Wrap Up! So lets do this!

1. The Mortal Instruments City of Bones
Author: Cassandra Clare
Genre: YA
Pages: 485
Rating: 3 stars

My thoughts on the book: I  liked it pretty decently. I had a hard time getting into it at the time but I don't think that it was the stories fault. Overall though it told a good story and I really like the world that was built.

2. Title: The Crow Midnight Legends: Waking Nightmares
Author: Christopher Golden and James O'Barr
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages: 107
Rating: 3 stars

My thoughts on the book: It was a decent book. I didn't like the art style to much because a lot of characters looked the same. However,  I think the story saved it. I would say read it just for the story.

3. Title : Carried Away
Author: E.L. Haines
Genre: YA , Horror, Fantasy
Pages: 169
Rating: 4 stars

My thoughts on the book: I liked this book and I thought it was easy to get into and enjoy. I found what happens with cats in this story to be just entertaining.  I also liked the medical aspects of this book.

4. Title: Jaws
Author: Peter Benchley
Genre: Horror
Rating: 3 stars
Pages: 307

My thoughts on the book: The book tells a good story. The rating would be higher but there were somethings that were slight disappointments. The way some characters were at the first of the story made me not care much about them for the longest time in the story. Also, I was a little disappointed by how it ended. Overall though it was a decent story.

Reading Stats:
Books Read: 4
Genres Read: 2
Pages Read: 1,070
Average Rating: 3 stars
Paperbacks From Hell Challenge: 1 (Jaws)

That's it for this reading update. It will have to be tomorrow when I finally get to post my February TBR. I just don't think I'm going to have time to today.
