My Bookish Life Book Review: Rosemary's Baby

Hello everybody! How are all of you doing? I hope you all are having a good morning! My morning has been pretty good so far. I got my coffee and a few minutes of peace before my day really starts so lets knock out this book review before everybody else wakes up.

Title: Rosemary's Baby
Author: Ira Levin
Genre: Horror
Pages:245
Rating: 5 stars

Synopsis: Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse , an ordinary young couple, settle into a New York City apartment, unaware that their elderly neighbors and their bizarre group of friends have taken a disturbing interest in them . But, by the time Rosemary discovers the truth it may be far too late.

My thoughts on the book: I loved the book! I guess you could say I thought it was devilishly good ! Pun intended! It's still early in the year but, I think there is a decently good chance that this book will make it onto my top ten year end list for 2021!

I had seen the movie before but, I had never read the book. The book is a lot better than I remember the movie being and the movie wasn't bad either. If you haven't read the book and you liked the movie then you really should read the book!

It's only 245 pages long so it's a quick read . The story keeps a decent pace too so it really doesn't get slow or boring. The pace of the story is one of the things that makes the story easy to get into and those 245 pages end up going by pretty fast.

Ira Levin really did a good job with this book ! I liked Rosemary's character which makes what happens to her  very unnerving and unfortunate. I for sure want to read more of Ira Levin's books!

For all of the above reasons, I have to give this book 5 stars! I love the horror genre and this book was a brilliant horror masterpiece ! I would recommend this book to any horror fan!

That's it for this reading update. If you have read Rosemary's Baby please leave your thoughts in the comments . Also, if you like my content please subscribe to my blog. I will be back soon with a review of Dreams of A Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole. I hope you all have a good day and I will talk to you all again soon.
