My Bookish Life Book Review: The Rise of The Fourth Reich

Title: The Rise of The Fourth Reich
           Author: Jim Marrs  Genre: Conspiracy
           Pages: 439 Rating: 2.5 stars

Synopsis: Throw out everything you know about history. Close the approved textbooks, turn off the corporate mass media, and whatever you do don't believe anything you hear from the government- The Rise of The Fourth Reich reveals the truth about American power. In this explosive new book, the legendary Jim Marrs, author of the underground bestseller Rule by Secrecy, reveals the frighteningly real possibility that today the United States is becoming the Fourth Reich, the continuation of an ideology thought to have been vanquished more than half a century ago. This concept may sound absurd to those who can not see past the rose-colored spin, hype, and disinformation poured out daily by the mass media congloomerates- most of which are owned by the very same families and corporations that supported the Nazis in WW2. But as Marrs precisely explains, National Socialism never died, but rather it's hideous philosophy is alive and active in modern America.

My thoughts on the book: This book was a somewhat tough read and it bogged me down. However, there were some interesting parts. Some of the interesting parts were the stuff written about Project Paper Clip and the weapons technology, like The Bell, the Nazis were supposedly developing during WW2.

After that the book got very boring. I'm glad I'm finally done with it. Besides the few interesting parts it was all conspiracies that I had heard before more or less. The stuff I hadn't heard before got very hard to follow. To top it off the ending was a repeat of the whole book. While it had a couple of interesting parts I really didn't like this book.

I'm glad I'm finally done with this book, now I can move on to better reads! That's it for this post . I hope you all have a nice evening . Talk to you all again soon.
