My Bookish Life: I Try Food From Books

Hello everybody! How are you guys? I hope you are having a good day. Mine has been alright , I feel better than I  did yesterday and I'm happy about that.

Yesterday I made the Chocolate Chip Crunch Cookies from the book Chocolate Chip Murder by Joanne Fluke. The recipe made three dozen cookies so I took my grandma and my mom a dozen a piece and my family still had some for dinner last night. The above picture is my results.

If you want to create them yourself here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 beaten eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups crushed corn flakes
1 or 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
1: Melt the butter.
2: Add the sugars and stir.
3: Add the soda, salt, and beaten eggs.
4. Mix well.
5: Next add the flour and stir it in.
6: After that you add the corn flakes and chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.
7. Make the dough into small balls and place them on a greased cookie sheet.
8. Press them down slightly.
9: Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes

My thoughts on the recipe: Ok I have a confession to make , I just realized I forgot to put the eggs in the cookies! They still turned out fine just a little hard (think that was probably my fault). The cookies were still enjoyable though.

As a busy mom I enjoyed the fact that they were super easy to make. It also doesn't take them long to cook. Plus, the recipe makes tons of cookies. Another plus is that you can forget ingredients and they still turn out pretty good (I can't believe I actually did that lol).

For a rating I'm going to give them a 3.5  . I do wish I wouldn't have forgotten the eggs but , they still turned out ok. Plus, I also loved that they were super easy to make.

That's it for now . I hope you all are having a good day. If you like my content please subscribe to my blog.  I will talk to you all again soon.
