My Bookish Life Book Review: Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder

Title: Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
Author: Joanne Fluke
Pages: 303
Genre: fiction
Rating: 3.5 stars

Synopsis: Hannah Swenson already has her hands full, between dodging her mother's attempts to marry her off and running Lake Eden, Minnesota's most popular bakery , The Cookie Jar. But when Cozy Cow Dairy's beloved delivery man is found murdered behind Hannah's bakery with her famous Chocolate Chip Crunchies scattered around him, Hannah sets out to track down a killer. The more Hannah snoops the more suspects turn up. This is one murder that's starting to leave a bad taste in Hannah's mouth and if she doesn't watch her back, her sweet life may get burned to a crisp.

My thoughts on the book: I thought it was a decent read. The story was cute and I liked the humor in it. Plus, some of the recipes sound really good.

I like the lead character, Hannah , she is extremely relatable. Her relationship with her mom is a very funny one ! I also like that she can fend for herself.

I can see this being a decent start to a pretty good series. I imagine you get to know the characters more in the other books in the series. I may check out the rest of the books soon.

Another thing I liked was how the story ended. I had my suspicions about the person who ended up being the murderer but, it still wasn't too predictable.  All the reasons I just stated is why I'm giving the book a 3.5 .

That's all for this morning. If you have read this book leave your thoughts in the comments. If you like my content please follow my blog.  Hope you all have a nice day and I will be back later with a review of I Survived : The Sinking of The Titanic.
