My Bookish Life Book Review: Unmasked

Hello and how are you guys? I hope you all had a good day . Mine has been pretty good. I have been resting and recovering from an accident.

That being said though I want to get some of the blog work done I've been wanting to do for awhile. This book is controversial but, I enjoyed it and I hope this comes out as a very good review. So , let's get to discussing the book !

Title: Unmasked : Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy
Author: Andy Ngo
Genre: Non-fiction
Pages: 320
Rating: 5 stars

Synopsis:  When Andy Ngo was attacked in the streets by Antifa in the Summer of 2019 , most people assumed it was an isolated incident. But those who had been following Ngo's reporting in outlets like the New York Post and Quillette knew that the attack was only the latest one in a long string of crimes perpetrated by Antifa .

In Unmasked , Andy Ngo tells the story of this violent extremist movement from the very beginning.  He includes interviews with former followers of the group , people who have been attacked by them , and he also incorporates stories from his own life . This book also contains a trove of Antifa documents that have been obtained by the author and published for the first time ever.

My thoughts on the book: This book made me angry but, I still liked it. It made me angry that people more or less got away with doing the type of shit that's in this book. All of the rioting was very very bad and none of it should have happened.

That being said I still liked the book though, Andy Ngo did a very good job of reporting on Antifa. I felt like I learned something and it was all very interesting and informative. Even though I am really informed when it comes to the news I still found this to be pretty shocking!

I would recommend this book if you want an in depth look at all of the riots that have happened in America in recent times. However, there is a chance it could make you angry like it did me . Those riots just shouldn't happened!

I have to give the book 5 stars though because like I said it is very informative. It talks about things like Antifa's history and how it all started and it also talks about the philosophy that Antifa teachers their followers. While it might make you angry if you want to learn about all the riots that happened I would highly recommend this book!

I will be back tomorrow with my TBR for February.  It's all mostly still going to be non-fiction but music oriented.  I hope you guys will enjoy this one !

That's it for now! If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments.  Also, if you happen to like my content please give my blog a follow. That's it for now I will talk to you all again later!
