My Bookish Life Book Review: My Best Friends Exorcism

Hello everybody ! How are you guys? I hope you all had a good day. Mine was pretty good. I stayed at the house and just kind of relaxed today. It was pretty nice. Kiddo and I are going to  have some fun tomorrow. We are going to go buy him new clothes for when he starts preschool and I might be buying a dress for a wedding I'm going to.

For now though I want to work on my blog . I have been meaning to write this one for the past couple of days now because . I've already started reading my next book. So lets get to talking about this book !

Title: My Best Friends Exorcism
Author: Grady Hendrix
Genre: Horror
Pages: 332
Rating: 4

Synopsis: Abby and Gretchen have been best friends since fifth grade , when they boned over a share love of E.T. , roller skating parties , and scratch and sniff stickers. But when they arrive at high school, things change . Gretchen begins to act ... different. And as the strange coincidences and odd behavior starts to pile up, Abby realizes there is only one possibility: Gretchen, her favorite person in the world, has a demon living inside her. And Abby is not about to let anything come between her and her best friend . With the help of some unlikely allies, Abby embarks on her quest to save Gretchen . But is their friendship powerful enough to beat the devil?

My thoughts on the book: I liked this one ! I thought it was a really fun read and very easy to get into. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes 80s horror movies. I'm a huge fan of the 80s in general so I loved this one . It's just lots of fun.

I like the main character and I think Abby is a pretty relatable character. Some of the experiences she is having happened to all of us when we were teenagers. I also liked the friendship between her and Gretchen I thought it was adorable!

However, this is a horror story about an exorcism so it's not all adorable. The horror parts are very well written . Also, the exorcism part made me feel really squeamish actually.

I really liked it and I would recommend it. I love 80s horror though so if you are also a fan you might want to check it out. I had fun reading it so I'm giving it 4 stars !

That's it for this reading update . If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you happen to like my content please give my blog a follow.

I have started reading Tommy Land by Tommy Lee . I have a good portion of it read so expect a review soon ! That's it for this reading update I will talk to you all again later!
