My Bookish Life Book Review : Happy and You Know It

How are you all tonight? I hope you all are having a good night. My kiddo is asleep and I don't have to work tomorrow so I'm having some fun and having a few drinks ! My favorite drink is a Jack and Coke which I'm having ! What's your favorite drink ? Tell me in the comments !

So anyways I was able to finish Happy and You Know It and I want to do a review for it . I've had a few drinks and I've got some music playing so this is going to be a fun review . I hope you guys enjoy it ! Leave your thoughts in the comments!

Title: Happy & You Know It
Author: Laura Hankin
Genre: Comedy
Pages: 384
Rating: 3 stars

Synopsis: A dark humorous book set around a group of wealthy young mothers and the musician who takes a job singing to their babies and finds her self pulled into their glamorous lives and dangerous secrets.

My thoughts on the book: At the start I really liked this book . It's not a bad read all in all it's decently good.  I did have fun reading this one !

I liked a lot of the story. It was really funny I thought . However, some of the drama did just unexpectedly come out of nowhere and I think that pulled me out of the story some . It just got really over the top .

The story still wasn't bad though and I liked some of the characters . For example , I liked Claire a good bit . She was a fun character. I do think that some characters could have been better developed though . An example of this would be Gwen because the stuff at the end I just felt like it kinda came out of nowhere .

It's still not a bad story though . I did think it was a fun get away from my real life ( which I needed because I had just been in a car wreck when I started this) . So if you're looking for a comedy and think maybe you can identify with a group of young moms you might want to pick this one up ! Overall I give it 3 stars !

Now I have started reading The Annotated Sandman by Neil Gaiman . I liked the Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman so I wanted to read the annotated version because they give you more details about the story. I should be able to review it soon !

That's it for this reading update ! I hope you all enjoyed it ! I've had fun talking to you guys tonight and I hope you have enjoyed reading .That's all for now I will talk to you all later !
