My Bookish Life Book Review : Path of The Assassin

How are you all doing today? I hope all of you are having a good day. My family just got back from doing our grocery shopping. I know it has been a bit since I last posted but things have been really busy with doctor appointments and things like that. That being said I hope to make up for it today with two posts! First, I'm going to post this book review and then hopefully later today I will get to post my themed February TBR.

I'm about to go get me a water and then I'll be ready to start this review! I hope it's a good review because I really enjoyed this book. So, let's kick back relax and get this review started!

Title: Path of The Assassin
Author: Brad Thor
Genre: Action/Thriller Fiction
Pages: 590
Rating: 5 stars

Synopses: Navy Seal turned Secret Service agent Scot Harvath follows bloody clues to silver-eyed elusive ruthless terrorist Hashim Nidal, who intends to topple Israel and America, and can only be identified by one person- Meg Cassidy. Across four continents, from Macau, Jerusalem, Chicago, Libya, and Rome, the deadly puzzle tests their limits and grows their bond.

My thoughts on the book: I love the Scot Harvath series so it's not a surprise that I loved this book! They are always well written and this is no exception. They are action packed and it makes them really fun reads.

I really like Scot Harvath as a character. He always does an incredible job, and he is hilarious! The Meg Cassidy character in this is also pretty good and decently realistic. Also, for some reason I think if they ever turn this into a movie Willem Dafoe should play Rick Morrell. I have no idea why I kept seeing him as that character in my head but, I think he would be really good at playing Rick.

There is a twist involved with Hashim Nidal that I liked. I'm not going to say what it was because that spoils to much of the story. I will say I didn't see it coming so it made the end of the story different from what I thought it would be and I liked that.

Speaking of the ending, that's the one part of the story that I didn't like too much. While it might be realistic, I just think there could have been a better way to end it besides the van stuff. That being said I know stuff just like that probably actually happens every day.

With all of that being said I'm giving the book 5 stars. It was one of the most fun books I've read in a bit. If you like action packed military type stories, I would recommend this one!

That's it for this review. If you have read Path of The Assassin leave your thoughts in the comments so we can discuss the book! Also, if you happen to like my content, please give my blog a follow. That's it for now, I hope you all have a nice day, and I will talk to you all again later. Goodbye!
