My Bookish Life : August Reading Wrap Up

Hello and how are you guys? I'm doing pretty good. It was a busy work day but now I'm chilling out at the house.  I have fixed me some of the Some Beach Ole Smokey Moonshine that I bought while on vacation and now I'm kicking back and I want to write my reading wrap up for last month. So lets get to this !

#1. Title : The Light Fantastic
Author: Terry Pratchett
Genre: Fantasy
Rating: 3.5 stars
Pages: 270

My thoughts on the book: I thought this book was a decent read . I did like it and I love Terry Pretchett's sense of humor. However, I didn't think it was as good as the first book in the series and that's why I gave it 3.5 stars. I still want to check out the rest of the series though because this story is really funny and so strange !

#2. Title: Preacher Volume 2 : Until The End of The World
Author: Garth Ennis
Artist: Steve Dillon
Pages: 258
Genre: Graphic Novel
Rating: 5 stars

My thoughts on this book: As I have said previously this is a series reread for me . Preacher is one of my favorite comic books period. This one is one of my favorite books in the series because you get introduced to so many characters and this is where the story really starts to feel like Preacher.

#3. We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson
Author: Shirley Jackson
Genre: YA/Horror
Pages: 146
Rating: 5 stars

My thoughts on the book: I liked this book. It was very haunting in some ways. It's the shut in feeling it sticks with you for a good while after you read the story . My favorite character has to be Constance her story is interesting . I also like Mary her story has some unexpected twists that are just crazy . It's a good story to be YA and some of it is darker than I would expect a YA story to be.

Reading Stats For The Month:
Pages Read: 674
Books Read: 3
Genres Read:3
Average Rating: 4.5

That's it for this reading update! I hope you enjoyed the read . Writing this has been very relaxing for me so I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it. If you have read any of these books please leave your thoughts in the comment section. I will be back tomorrow with my September TBR . Thank you for reading and I hope you all have a good night!
