My Bookish Life Book Review : The Waking

Hello and how are you guys? I hope you all are having a good day. Mine has been good but, busy . Now, I have some down time and I want to talk books for a bit ! So let's get this review started!

Title : The Waking : Dreams End
Author: Raven Gregory
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages: 88
Rating: 2.5

Synopsis: Murder has became practically extinct in a world armed with knowledge that those that are murdered will return from the dead to take the life of the person that murdered them... but within a new world comes a new type of killer.  And he must be stopped!

My thoughts on the book: It's just alright . I don't hate that I read it but, the story didn't grab my attention to much. There are horror comics that are way better than this one.

I do wonder if I would feel any differently if I would have read Volume 1 first? I do sort of want to check out the first one to see if the story is any better that after reading that one. At the same time I question it being worth the time to read it.

I will say one good thing about the book is the artwork. It was very cool looking and I thought the artist did a good job. However,  that doesn't save this book.

All the above reasons are why I'm giving the book 2.5 stars. It just didn't stand out and grab my attention. Maybe I really should have read the first book in the series before this one but, it just didn't really do anything for me .

That's it for this reading update . If you have read this series please leave your thoughts in the comment section so we can discuss it. I have finished listening to the audio book of A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer and I will have a review up for it tomorrow. I'm also almost done reading Code of Conduct by Brad Thor and a review for that one will be up soon! That's it for now I hope you all have a nice evening ! Goodbye!
