My Bookish Life Book Review: Blood Moon

Hello and good morning! How are you all doing ? I hope you are having a good morning. Mine has been good so far but, I have a very busy day ahead of me . It's a work day and I have cleaning I have to do plus we are going to my in laws later for dinner which should be fun.  All that being said for now I want to talk about books! I have some coffee fixed so lets get this review started!

Title: Blood Moon
Author: Joseph J. Battaglia
Genre: Mystery/Horror
Page:  220
Rating: 3 stars
Synopsis: Simon , a young brash FBI agent receives his first assignment . Small town murders, is it a cult , a serial killer or something much worse ? From being attacked early on, once on the scene of the crime, to meeting his fellow adopted brother in town back packing the country . Is Samuel there with his past history of drug and alcohol addiction to help or hinder or is it just a strange coincidence?

Clan leader Xavier watches over not only his small flock of followers but, also the small town by having his son Declan as the top cop in town. Is Simon consciously complacent in the murders himself as well as the killer once he comes to town ? Only reading the story will you find out the truth.

My thoughts on the book: This is Mr. Battaliga's first book and it's not bad for a first book. Some of the characters are pretty interesting . I like Sheamus he is probably my favorite .  He owns a tavern and he is just really kinda odd and interesting.

The story is also decent . I liked the horror aspects. It's a good lead in to the upcoming spooky season! I also liked the mystery to it . I had the mystery figured out from the start but, it didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story.

However, I feel like some of the story was rushed and that's why I am giving the story 3 stars. I just feel that certain parts of the story needed more development . However, this is only Mr. Battaglia's first book so it will be interesting to see where he goes in the future.

If you want to check out the book for yourself , it is available on amazon. So, you can check that out if you would like to support an up and coming writer.  I know I do want to check out his second book!

That's it for this reading update. If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you happen to like my content please give my blog a follow . That's it for now I hope you all have a good day!
