Title: Paper Towns Author: John Green
Genre: YA. Pages: 305
Rating: 2.5 stars
Synopsis: Who is the real Margo? Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs into his life- dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge- he follows. After their all-nighter ends, and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now became a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues- and they are for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees the girl he thought he knew.
My thoughts on the book: I didn't particularly like it that much. The first chapter was fun but, then Margo does something that I think was selfish and I couldn't get over that because it impacts the story greatly. Plus, in the story Q always refers to her as Margo Roth Spiegelman which I found a bit annoying.
The road trip part of the story was at least ok and there were some really funny parts in it. However, I don't know if I would say that it redeems the story. Some of the characters in this story actually are decently good characters.
After all that happened I found the ending to be ok at some parts but mostly unsatisfying. For those reasons I'm giving the book 2.5 stars. I wish it could have been better.
That's it for this update. I should be back tomorrow with my March reading wrap up and April TBR. Hope you all have a nice afternoon. I will talk to you all later.
