My Bookish Life Book Review : Black Beauty

Hello everybody! I hope you all are having a good morning. Mine has been ok but, I already know my day is going to be very busy. With that being said I did finish Black Beauty yesterday and I thought I would put up my review while everything is quiet this morning. So here we go!

Title: Black Beauty
Author : Anna Sewell
Genre: Children's Classic
Pages : 215
Rating: 4 stars

Synopsis: Black Beauty spends his youth in a loving home, surrounded by friends and cared for by his owners . But when the circumstances change , he learns that not all humans are so kind . Passed from hand to hand , Black Beauty witnesses love and cruelty, wealth and poverty, friendship and hardship.

My thoughts on the book: It surprises me but, I really liked this one. That surprises me because I didn't think I would be into a story like this one . It was also a pretty quick read.

I'm glad this book has a happy ending because some parts are absolutely heartbreaking . The abuse makes certain parts of this book hard to read and very very sad. I love animals so reading those parts was pretty rough.

However,  the over all the story is beautiful and very well written .  This is one of those books that played out like a movie in my head  , So surprisingly, I'm giving this book 4 stars!

Reading/Blog Updates :
I started reading Horns by Joe Hill yesterday so that will be the next review I do. I'm still waiting on a lot of the other books to get to my library.  I also want to write an article for the blog about how to support your local library when they fully open back up. They were hit pretty hard by Covid and I think they could use our support when they fully open back up. I hope to have that article up in a few days . I also want to update the look of my blog page but, I don't know if that will be this week or next week.

That's it for this update! If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments . If you like my content please give my blog a follow . That's it for now I will talk to you all later !
