My Bookish Life: Graphic Novel Spotlight: The Dark Tower : Treachery

Hello how are you all? I know it's been awhile since I have posted but I have been pretty busy recently. I hope you are all doing good though. My kiddo is asleep so while I have a few minutes I want to get this book review knocked out.

Title: The Dark Tower: Treachery
Authors: Stephen King, Robin Furth, Peter David
Art: Jae Lee & Richard Isanove
Lettering: Chris Eliopoulos
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages: 176
Rating: 4 stars

Summary: The ka-tet of Roland , Alain, and Cuthbert have returned safely to their home of Gilead . Roland has kept the evil Maerlyn's Grapefruit and has become obsessed with peering into it's pinkish depths despite the toll it has taken on his health. And what the young gunslinger sees brings him the darkest of nightmares . Meanwhile, Roland's father has led a pose in search of those who threatened his sons life in Hambry, John Farson and The Big Coffin Hunters. Also in this encounter Steven Deschain's life may be forfeit.

My thoughts on the book: As you can probably guess I like this one! I like how it tells the story of what happened to Roland's mom. I think the graphic novels are doing a good job at fleshing out Roland's backstory.

Another thing I like about this continuation of the graphic novel series is the humor it contains in certain parts. Cuthbert is hilarious and I love his character! He provides the much needed comedic relief in my opinion

Once again I have to say I really like the artwork. I think it's really beautiful! A combo of the story and the artwork is why I am giving this graphic novel 4 stars . It's beautiful and it tells a really good story!

That's it for now . If you like my content please subscribe to me blog. If you have read this graphic novel please leave your thoughts in the comments. That's it for now I hope you all have a good afternoon.
