My Bookish Life: July Reading Wrap Up

Hello, how are you all doing? I hope all of you are having a good day . I have been very busy myself today but, I finally have some time to work on my blog. With that being said lets get started with last months reading wrap up.

The first book I finished last month  was Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. It really surprised me how much I ended up liking this book! Even though I did like it certain parts of this book can be sad but, the story does have a happy ending . I ended up giving the book 4 stars!

The second book I finished in July was The Dark Tower : The Gunslinger Born by Stephen King , Robin Furth and Peter David. I read this book as part of a new graphic novel spotlight series I'm doing. I thought this was a pretty good adaptation of part of Stephen Kings Dark Tower series. I also love the artwork in this series! I gave it 3.5 stars!

The third book I finished last month was Negan Lives by Robert Kirkman. I hope this is going to turn into a spinoff of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic . I think it was a pretty good start to what will hopefully be a series. If you have never read Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series you should read that before you read this one because this is a continuation of one characters story. However, if you offend easily following this character may not be for you . I liked the book and I gave it 3.5 stars.

After that I read Horns by Joe Hill. It was a decent read. I thought it had an interesting concept story wise. I also liked Joe Hills writing style and sense of humor. I want to check out more of his stuff. I ended up giving the book 3.5 stars.

The last book I finished in July was The Dark Tower: The Long Road Home. This is a continuation of The Dark Tower graphic novel series that started with The Gunslinger Born. I thought it was also a good read. I liked how they split up the story so part of the time you follow Roland and the rest of the time you follow Cuthbert and Alain. I gave this book 3.5 stars.
