My Bookish Life Book Review: Code of Conduct

Hello and how are you guys? I hope you all are doing good ! I have had an ok day. Kiddo and I picked out our Halloween costumes today. He is going to be a baby vampire and I'm going to be female Chucky . We are going to have so much fun this year ! I can't wait! Now I want to talk books though so let's get this review started!

Title: Code of Conduct
Author: Brad Thor
Genre: Thriller
Pages: 360
Rating: 4

Synopsis:  Hidden deep within one of the world's most powerful organizations is a secret committee with a devastating agenda. It's members are afforded incredible protections- considered elites, untouchables. But, when four seconds of video is captured halfway around the world and anonymously transmitted to D.C. covert wheels are set in motion , and counter-terrorism operative Scot Harvath is tapped to undertake the most deadly assignment of his career.

My thoughts on the book: I liked this one . It was one of the better books I read last month .  The story was really interesting. I think this is like the second or third book I've read in the Scot Harvath series and I have liked them all so far so I'm not surprised that I like this one.

The story goes at a good fast pace. It involves a virus so heads up some stuff feels like what we actually lived through last year even though it was written in 2002 I think. The story is good though so I don't mind that so much.  Certain similarities though does make you wonder if our government could really do stuff like what's mentioned in this book.

I like the character Scot Harvath . He is fictional obviously and he is a Navy Seal . He also has a sense of humor that I like as well. He can be pretty funny at times. However, people get him to go on missions like the ones in this book because he is simply the best at what he does.

So, I have to give this book 4 stars! It's action packed and fast paced . I didn't want to stop reading for the most part. I would recommend this book to people who like Tom Clancy type books!

That's it for this reading update . If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you happen to like my content please give my blog a follow . I will be back tomorrow with both my September Reading Wrap Up and October TBR. I hope you all have a good night and I will talk to you all again later.
