My Bookish Life Book Review: Preacher Volume 4

Hello and how are you guys doing tonight? I hope you all are having a good night. My day has been pretty good. My husband and I went and looked at new places to live and we found some that we liked. After that we went grocery shopping and I watched the new episode of Chucky which was pretty good.

Now, I want to do some work on my blog! I have finished reading Preacher and started reading Billy Summers by Stephen King. I realize it's been a minute since I posted on here but , my work schedule was pretty busy. I have some time now though, so I want to get a review out!

Title: Preacher Book 4
Author: Garth Ennis
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages : 368
Rating: 4 stars

Synopsis: This title collects the story of Jesse Custer's ultimate battle with the Saint of Killers and the forces of Starr and it's catastrophic outcome.

My thoughts on the book: Ok I loved the humor in this one! Some of the stuff that happens with Arseface is hilarious! You do get his full store in this and while Arseworld is funny his backstory isn't but, it is good.

I liked the direction Herr Starr's story goes in this one . It will sound wrong if I say it's hilarious that he got caught by cannibals but, just read it ! I will say Starr is both determined to get Jesse Custer and also about driven half insane by everything at this point!

Now, there is a fairly dark point in this story. So , Tulip and Cassidy think Jesse has died and it's pretty dark. Tulip actually struggles with what happened and it gets bad . While trying to deal with Jesse's death Tulip makes some pretty bad decisions and she clearly isn't in the best state of mind.

Some bad stuff also happens with Cassidy while he thinks Jesse is dead. So, he ends up left alone with Tulip while she is going through all of this and he does manipulate her a little bit and things like that. It's the first hint of stuff that the rest of the group doesn't know because Cassidy isn't really the best person. The way I see it is since meeting Jesse he tried being a better person and still messes up sometimes .

Overall, I like the story. It's a good one and it's easy to get into. The artwork Mr. Dillon did was also incredible in this one. I would highly recommend it! I really enjoyed it so I'm giving it 4 stars!

That's it for this reading update. I hope you guys liked it! I will be back with a review of Billy Summers by Stephen King shortly. If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you happen to like my content please give my blog a follow. That's it for now. Thanks for reading and I will talk to you guys later!
