My Bookish Life: September Reading Wrap Up

Hello and how are you all doing ? I hope all of you are having a good day. I had a pretty good day at work. I ended up having to work over so I'm only going to be able to post my Reading Wrap Up today but, that's fine I can debut my October TBR tomorrow. I will say there are some books on it I have been wanting to read for a very long time!

I will say I think September was one of my better reading months so far this year. It feels like I actually got a lot of reading done. With that being said lets start talking about the books because I have several to cover this time!

1. Title: Blood Moon
Author: Joseph Battaglia
Genre: Mystery/Horror
Page: 220
Rating: 3 stars

My Thoughts On The Book: This book was a good kick off for the spooky season . It was a quick read and easy to get into. It's a mystery involving werewolves and some murders that happen and it's an ok read. I do however think somethings were rushed but that's the biggest flaw the book has.

2. Preacher: Book Three
Author: Garth Ennis
Artist: Steve Dillon
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages: 360
Rating: 5 Stars

My thoughts on the book: I love the Preacher comics and this part of the series is no different . I really love the backstory for The Saint Of Killers and the one where Cassidy meets a fellow vampire. I also love the comedy in this series it's really funny. Plus, the artwork in this series is beautiful.

3. Title: The Waking
Author: Raven Gregory
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages: 88
Rating: 2.5 stars

My thoughts on the book: This book has an interesting concept but, it didn't really grab me. In this book people who have been murdered come back as zombies. That should be interesting but, it just wasn't . I was pretty disappointed.

4. Title: A Child Called It
Author: Dave Pelzer
Genre: Non-Fiction
Pages: Listened to the audio book
Rating: 5 stars

My thoughts on the book: Dam this story was tough to listen to. Not because it's bad, it's well told, but the mom in this story makes me so angry. How could anybody do crap like that to their kid? However, I do think it had a good ending which I'm glad this one does because that was hard to listen to.

5. Title: Code of Conduct
Author: Brad Thor
Genre: Fiction
Pages: 360
Rating: 4 stars

My thoughts on the book: I liked this one. It's one of the better books I read this month. I do think that even though it was written in 2002 a lot of what happens in this book sounds like what happened in the real world last year because, it involves a virus. However, Brad Thor is a really good writer though so that doesn't bother me. If you like Tom Clancy you might want to check this one out.

Reading Stats For The Month:
Books Read: 5
Pages Read: 1,028
Genres Read: 4
Average Rating: 4.8

That's it for this reading update ! If you have read any of these books please leave your thoughts in the comments and lets discuss these books. Now I have to go cook dinner , we are having stuffed crab , hush puppies and one other side. I hope you all have a good night and I will talk to you all gain tomorrow! Goodbye!
