My Bookish Life Book Review : Odd Thomas

Title : Odd Thomas Author : Dean Koontz
Genre: Thriller/Mystery (wasn't to sure how to place this one also thought about YA)
      Pages: 446     Rating : 3.5

Synopsis: Sometimes the souls that seek out Odd want justice. Occasionally their otherworldly tips help him prevent a crime. But this time it's different. A stranger come to Pico Mundo, accompanied by a horde of hyena-like shades who herald an imminent catastrophe . Aided by his soul mate, Stormy Llewellyn , and an unlikely community of allies that includes the king of Rock 'n' Roll , Odd will race against time to thwart the gathering evil.

My thoughts on the book: It was ok. It wasn't the best Dean Koontz book I've read but, it was still good enough to make me want to check out more of the books in the series. I also found some parts to just be really really funny.

I did think the ending was one of the best parts to the story even though I found it to be really sad. That's also one of the things that makes me want to read the next book in the series because I want to know how Odd recovers from that happening. Since the book was just ok overall though my rating has to be 3.5 stars.
