My Bookish Life Book Review: Sleeping Beauties

Hello and how are you guys? I'm doing good I hope you all are too. I'm enjoying a day off from work so I want to get caught up on my blog and kiddo and I might go for a walk later because it looks like it's going to be a nice day. For now though, I want to talk about books some !

Title: Sleeping Beauties
Authors : Stephen King and Owen King
Genre: Graphic Novel
Pages: 128
Rating: 2.5 stars

Synopsis: A bizarre sleeping sickness, known as Aurora, has fallen over the world, and the strangest thing of all is it's only affecting women. In the small town of Dooling, a mysterious woman has walked out of the woods; calling herself Eve and she leaves a trail of carnage behind her. More mysteriously, she is the only woman who can sleep and not get the sickness.

My thoughts on the book: Surprisingly this isn't my favorite book I have read this month despite it being by my favorite author. I just wasn't really feeling it at all. That being said it was only 128 pages so it was a quick read.

This story so far just isn't really drawing me in at all. I will pick up part two to see if it gets any better but, if it doesn't I most likely want continue this one which is surprising to me . However, all this could be because I have read a lot of really good stuff this month and this one just doesn't hold up against the others.

The second volume could get more interesting as we find out more about the virus and maybe that will make me want to continue the series but I don't know. It could be that this story just isn't for me which is disappointing because I wanted to like it because I thought the cover was beautiful and I usually like Stephen King. This book was just a no for me though and that's why it gets 2.5 stars.

If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also, if you happen to like my content please give my blog a follow. That's it for now, I think kiddo and I are going to go out for that walk I will be back tomorrow with a review of Gwendy's Button Box.
