My Bookish Life Book Review: Def Leppard

Title: Def Leppard   Author: Willy McGilly
Genre: Biography     Pages: 32
Rating: 1 star

Synopsis: Def Leppard's rise to platinum status rock super-stars may have appeared to be the classic over-night rags-to-riches fairy tale but in fact is the result of six years solid graft and rugged determination.

In this book author Willy McGilly traces the band's emergence from their hometown of Sheffield,  deep in the heart of industrial England,  on the crest of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal to their jet-set lifestyle of today ; from their earliest recording of the now legendary 'Getcha Rocks Off' EP to the multi-million
smash hit album,  'Pyromania'.

My thoughts in the book: I'm going to be honest I hated it. For one thing it couldn't keep my attention and I found it boring. Also if you look things up you can find out that some of the "facts" in this weren't exactly true.

I think that the author could have written a better book about the band. Instead he wrote what is clearly a quick cash grab that just skims the surface of the bands story. For those reasons I give the book 1 star. Boy am I glad this was a library book and I didn't actually buy it !

          General Reading/Blog update
So one of the reasons it took me so long to get a review up is because I have also been rereading Wizard and Glass : Dark Tower 4 by Stephen King. I finished reading that one today and I'm going to make a post tomorrow reviewing it and showing some of my artwork. Be on the look out for that!

I am starting the book Scoop The Poop by Meredith Masony this evening and should have a review up for it soon.
It isn't a long one like the Stephen King one so it shouldn't take me that long to read it! I have been looking forward to that one!

That's it for this update! I hope you all have a nice evening! If you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments. Also if you like my content please give my blog a follow. Goodbye for now I will talk to you all again tomorrow!
