My Bookish Life Book Review: Scoop The Poop

Title: Scoop The Poop
Author: Meredith  Masony
Genre: Non-fiction
Pages : 161
Rating: 4 stars

Synopsis: I woke up this morning in a zombie state. I struggled to get the kids off to school. I talked myself into getting ready for work. I packed lunches, checked back packs, planned crock pot meals, and wished to be somewhere else. Yes , that's right. I wished I was somewhere other than my kitchen listening to my children fight over the last pack of fruit snacks. I dreamt about a life that was less stressful and more enjoyable. These thoughts made me cry on the way to drop off my kids at school. These thoughts made me feel like I was a terrible person. These thoughts made me feel like I was the worst Mother on the planet.

I was ashamed to have these thoughts. I felt like I was failing at life. I was overworked, under appreciated and dreaming of wanting more. Why wasn't I happy? Life seemed to be a chronic shit storm and I was the imbecilic meteorologist who forgot her umbrella.  I decided I needed to chase my dreams. I decided I had to find a way to Scoop The Poop and find my passion.

My thoughts on the book: First off I want to say absolutely love Meredith Masony.  I love how blunt she is about being a parent because it makes her super relatable to somebody like myself who still doesn't have much parenting experience and struggles sometimes.  However,  even though we struggle we love our kids to death !

Her bluntness about things in this book may not be for everybody but, the type of bluntness and humor she has in this book has helped me not feel so alone as a parent. That's another thing I love her humor she is hilarious when she wants to be.

I would for sure recommend this book to first time moms and also just females in general who are going through a lot. Another thing I like about this book is she talks about being a dream chaser and trying to make her dreams happen which is something I can relate to. For those reasons I give the book 4 stars!

If you would like to purchase this book I don't  think you can buy it at book stores because she self published it on Amazon but here is the link: Scoop The Poop
