My Bookish Life Book Review: The Dark Tower VII

      Hello everybody! How are you guys? I hope you all are having a nice morning. I have a very busy day ahead of me that's for sure. I finally finished my reread of the Dark Tower series so I'm here with a review of the last book. Rereading it took me 1 whole month because that thing is like 843 pages long! That being said it's well worth the time and effort! So let's get to the review!

        Synopsis: The journey ends here this is the last book in the series. Roland's ka-tet is in danger. Susannah/Mia has been carried from the Dixie Pig to a birthing room that's really a chamber of horrors. In Thunderclap's Fedic Station Jake, Oy, and Father Callahan have entered the restaurant on Lex and 61st with weapons drawn , little knowing how numerous and noxious their foes are. Roland and Eddie are with John Cullum in Maine in 1977 looking for the site on Turtleback Lane where "walk-ins" have often been seen. They want desperately to get back to the others, Susannah especially , and yet have came to realize the world they need to escape is the only one that matters. 

      My thoughts on the book: I love it! At 843 pages it's a very long read but, it's well worth the effort! It's a book that after you read it you for sure feel like you read something and went on one hell of a journey. I know I wanted to start reading some of my December TBR last night right after I finished this one but I couldn't I was still stuck in Mid-World. 

         The conclusions that we reach in this book does have a tendency to destroy some readers. That happens because you get so attached to these characters . This world also draws you in and doesn't let you go. I also can't say that there really is a slow part in this book at all because there really isn't . Once the story starts it doesn't let up at all.

       It's controversial but, I for one love the ending. I thought it was the perfect ending . Also, likely the only ending the story could have had. I just finished my reread last night and I already want to start reading the series over again ! So I guess it's obvious I have to give the book 5 stars ! 

     If you are even thinking about picking up this series do it! It's seven books long but well worth all the reading . If you are a fan of Stephen King I would say this is a must read. The world and characters draws you in and connects to a whole universe. I really can't say enough good things about this series.

My Bookish Life: Top Ten Books For 2020

                          Hello everybody ! How are you all doing ? I hope you all are doing great . It's been busy for me . It's getting close to Christmas so it's been very busy with my family.              However, I did tell you all my top 10 books of the year would be out this week so I'm finally publishing that article!
