My Bookish Life: Hypeathon Book Review

Hello everybody! How are you all? I hope all of you are having a nice night. I have felt rough but, I actually had a good day .

As you all know in my Bookopolly game this month I landed on the readathon space . Well to fill that prompt I decided to participate in Hypeathon this month. If you haven't  heard of Hypeathon it's a month long readathon where you read a book that has a ton of hype. I think I stretched it a little with my book pick because the book I picked has hype because it's about an ongoing news story but, I have been wanting to read this book for awhile.

Title: Filthy Rich : The Billionaire's Sex Scandal
Authors: James Patterson, John Connolly with Tim Malloy
Genre : True Crime
Pages: 280
Rating : 5 stars

Synopsis: Jeffery Epstein rose from humble orgins to the rarefied heights of New York City's financial elite.  A college dropout with an instinct for numbers-and for people- Epstein amassed his wealth through a combination of access and skill . But even after he had it all, Epstein wanted more. And that unceasing desire and especially a taste for young girls resulted in a stunning fall from grace.

My thoughts on the book: I love true crime and I had been wanting to look into this story more for awhile now. This book was an interesting one . If I had read it earlier in the year it probably would have made my top ten books of the year list.

Beware some parts of this book are disturbing because Jeffery Epstein was a sick s.o.b.
and those crimes are discussed in this book. Something else that's almost as sickening as Epstein's crimes is that he didn't get punished to harshly the first time he was arrested. It seems like that happened because he had powerful friends.

This book only covers the first investigation and arrest because at the time it was published Epstein hadn't been arrested for the second time . However,  the authors did a very good job at covering the first part of the investigation and the first arrest . For those reasons I give the book 5 stars would recommend this book to any true crime fan!

I have started my reread of The Mortal Instruments : City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I don't know if I will be able to finish it this month but, it would be nice to complete my whole December TBR. That's it for this reading update . If you like my content please give my blog a follow also if you have read this book please leave your thoughts in the comments! That's it for now I will talk to you all later!
