My Bookish Life Book Review: The Case Against Socialism

 Hello everyone and good morning to you . I hope you are all having a good morning. I just got back from the gym . It was a really good workout and I'm feeling awesome! Now I have got some coffee and I want to get this book review done before I start really cleaning my house.

Synopsis: This book outlines the history of socialism . Telling the history of socialism is important because it makes it easier to understand the case against socialism . This book also talks about how socialism pretty much always ends in tyranny .

My thoughts on the book: I really liked this book and found it to be very very interesting and thought provoking . Rand Paul is somebody who I think would make a good choice for President if he runs again. The stances he takes in this book highlight why I think he would be a good pick for President.

   I think he did a very good job of explaining the taxation that goes along with socialism . Obviously, I knew that none of the things socialist say are free is actually free but his explanation of how that system actually works was very interesting. I feel like I learned a lot and I like it ! 

   Some of the most interesting parts of the book is when he is talking about the history of socialism . There is some very interesting and thought provoking stories involving Chinese, Russian, and German history. I got really drawn into these stories! 

  The last couple of chapters get a bit scary because he talks about how socialism always leads to tyranny and government over reach . Considering the state of things today they are a chilling and fascinating read. They could be seen as a warning of what's to come.

   Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It was really very interesting so I have to give the book 5 stars! I would recommend it if you want to read a very thought provoking book.
